Competitions have always been the hardest proving ground for men and vehicles alike; in the tension of the race the limits of both often come to light. Research performed on men, vehicles and equipment allows more ambitious goals to be reached, therefore it is natural for the world of competitive sports to indicate the most appropriate materials and protections to use.

Starting from motorcycling, a sport that has always been dangerous, research and experience on the racetracks has provided means for the protection of an increasing number of sports, made faster through the search for new limits, limits which however expose pilots and athletes to greater risks in the event of an accident.

Skiing, downhill mountain biking and equitation, just as motorcycling, are sports that ask for greater safety, but in return offer valuable information for the evolution of protections.

There is only a short step from competitions to practicing sports to everyday movement. It is this transfer that gives meaning to the commitment of the numerous enterprises that dedicate energy and means to supporting pilots and athletes.
